JUNIOR CHEF

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the position of a Junior Chef.

 

Reporting to                            :           Sous Chef

Location                                  :           Bulawayo Rainbow Hotel

 

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements;

 

Key responsibilities include:

v  Creating and preparing quality menu items

v  Researching and developing recipes

v  Adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards

v  Maintaining creativity and presentation skills together with displaying a deep sense of artistry

v  Must have an appetite for quality and attention to detail

v  Good planning and organizing skills

v  Demonstrable stock control and cost management skills

 

Job Specifications

  • National Certificate in Professional Cookery

v  At least 2 years’ experience in the industry

v  Pastry/Bakery experience will be an added advantage

  • Highly motivated and works with minimum supervision

v  High levels of innovation and creativity

v  Fluency in English Language

v  Well groomed
