Housekeeping Supervisor *3

Introduction

Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of Housekeeping Supervisor. The successful candidate will be based at Rainbow Towers Hotel and ICC Harare.

 Reporting

The position reports to the Executive Housekeeper.

 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation
• Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff to uphold 5-star standards
• Manage linen, cleaning supplies, and inventory control
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the Front Office and Engineering departments for smooth operations
• Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently

Person Specification & Attributes

• Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury or 5-star hotel
• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality
• Previous supervisory experience is essential
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holiday
• Familiarity with housekeeping software or hotel property management systems (an advantage)
