Florist

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and creative individuals to fill the position of Florist for Rainbow Tourism Group. The successful candidate will be based at Montclair Resort and Conference within the Garden and Grounds Department.

The position reports to Maintenance Manager
Responsibilities include:
 Designing, arranging, and maintaining floral displays, bouquets, and centerpieces for guest areas, events, and functions.
 Developing and maintaining the hotel’s gardens and landscaped areas to ensure an attractive and welcoming environment.
 Planting, pruning, watering, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and ornamental plants.
 Creating seasonal floral and garden designs that enhance the resort’s image and guest experience.
 Coordinating floral and garden décor for weddings, conferences, and special occasions.
 Monitoring and managing floral and gardening supplies, including ordering and stock control.
 Ensuring all outdoor and indoor floral displays are well-maintained and meet hotel standards.
 Collaborating with the Events, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams to deliver consistent aesthetic quality across the property

Job Specification
 Certificate or Diploma in Floristry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or a related field.
 At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a hospitality or landscaping environment.
 Strong creative and design skills with a good eye for color and presentation.
 Knowledge of plant care, floral arrangement techniques, and garden maintenance.
 Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
 Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
 High levels of commitment, reliability, and attention to detail.
