Introduction

Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of Cashbook Clerk for Rainbow Tourism Group and the successful candidate will be based in the Accounts Department at Montclair Resort and Conference.

The position reports to the Accountant.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Verification of daily banking
  • Update daily bank balances for all accounts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Tracking and reconciling cash control account
  • Administering inter-unit transactions
  • Timeous and accurate monthly reporting
  • Processing of daily EFT, payments and receipts including debit orders
  • Processing of daily and monthly payments according to a payment schedule

Job Specifications

The candidate should have the following:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with the Accpac system
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Organizational commitment and dedication.
  • Possession of excellent analytical, communication and relationship management skills
