• Check in and out of guests.
• Reconciling outlet revenues.
• Investigation of variances.
• Preparation of department journals
• Carry out rate checks and update guest profiles
• Perform system backup and file maintenance
• Produce full and accurate night audit reports and flag high balances
• Transfer city ledger to accounts receivable
• Knowledge of all room rates, packages and promotions.
• Merge guest profiles such that the unit keeps clean guest history.
• Facilitate early departures through compilation of the departure list
• Prepare guest invoices and correct errors on guest bills
• Action Duty management handover notes, record night activities and conduct handover to the early Duty Manager

  Job Specification

• Holder of an HND in Tourism and Hospitality Management

• Develop and implement strategies for the maintenance and enhancement of the hotel's gardens, landscapes, and grounds to ensure an attractive and welcoming environment for guests.
• Plan, manage, and supervise all horticultural and agronomic activities, including flower gardens, lawns, ornamental plants, trees, and landscaped areas.
• Manage the hotel's crop production fields, ensuring the efficient cultivation of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and other produce required to support hotel operations.
• Establish and oversee nursery operations, including propagation, seedling production, plant care, and replenishment of ornamental and crop plants.
• Prepare and implement seasonal planting programmes and crop calendars.
• Monitor soil health, irrigation systems, fertilisation schedules, and implement sustainable agricultural and horticultural practices.
• Identify, prevent, and control pests, diseases, and weeds affecting gardens, nursery stock, and crop fields.
• Ensure proper utilisation and maintenance of gardening and agricultural equipment and machinery.

Job Summary The Supervisor will be responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and maintenance of the hotels extensive landscaping and groundskeeping operations. The role will be instrumental in creating and preserving a visually stunning and environmentally sustainable outdoor environment that enhances the guest experience and contributes to the hotel’s reputation. Reporting The position reports to the RTG Maintenance Supervisor based in Victoria Falls. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Team Supervision: • Supervise a team of groundskeepers and horticultural staff. • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and development • Maintain an engaged and disciplined team. Landscaping Design & Maintenance: • Oversee the daily maintenance of gardens, lawns, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping elements. • Coordinate with the RTG Estate Manager on seasonal planting and maintenance schedules. • Ensure that all landscaping is maintained in accordance with industry standards and best practices. • Come up with landscaping features that improve the general aesthetics of the property. Pest Control: • Monitor for pests and diseases and implement effective control measures. • Coordinate with pest control companies as needed. Irrigation Systems Management: • Ensure the proper functioning of water sprinkler systems around the property. • Installation of desirable water features like fountains at the hotel both outside and inside Outdoor Amenities Maintenance: • Maintain outdoor amenities such as balconies, walkways, and outdoor furniture. • Coordinate repairs and replacements as needed. Budget Management: • Assist the Estate Manager in developing and managing the landscaping budget. • Monitor expenses Guest Satisfaction: • Ensure that the landscaped areas contribute to a positive guest experience.
