WAITER X 2

Introduction

Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of Waiter and the successful candidate will be based at Rainbow Towers Hotel and ICC Harare.

 Reporting

The position reports to the Food and Beverage Supervisor.

 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:         

• Timeous preparation of tables by setting up linen, silverware and glasses
• Accurate taking of guest orders.
• Adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards
• Maintaining creativity and presentation skills together with displaying a sense of artistry
• Upselling of additional products when appropriate.
• Serving food and drink orders.
• Delivery of checks and collection of bill payments
• Provision of excellent customer service to guests

 Person Specification & Attributes

• National Certificate in Tourism and Hospitality or related course will be an added advantage.
• At least 1 -2 years’ relevant experience in a similar post
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrable planning and customer care skills.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
