Assistant Food and Beverage Controller

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill-in the vacancy of Assistant Food and Beverage Controller for Rainbow Towers Hotel & ICC.

Reporting to                                       :               Food and Beverages Controller.

Location                                              :               Rainbow Towers, Harare.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Conduct bars daily stocktaking, compute the results so as to manage shortages /surplus in the bars.
• Ensure all stock take results are distributed to management.
• Spot-check fridges and freezers in kitchens, bars and stores to ensure that stocks are being accounted for properly.
• Conducts F&B float and Cash checks at random and submit reports to management.
• Compute all operating expenses on a weekly basis, compare with budgets and advise management accordingly
• Ensure stock takes are conducted so as to determine daily and month to date cost of sales percentages.
• Analyse all purchases done from time to time and query and investigate any anomalies.
• Ensure all invoices being brought for processing from stores have all necessary supporting documents.
• Production of Cost of sales flash reports

                           PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUISITE ATTRIBUTES

• Cost Accounting biased degree or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience in a busy city property or FMCG
• Working knowledge of OPERA, ACCPAC, Micros POS and materials control systems
• Superior analytical and investigative skills.
• Should be an assertive person of unquestionable integrity.
