Human Capital Officer
Rainbow Tourism Group is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Human Capital Officer to lead daily HR operations and drive talent excellence at the A’Zambezi River Lodge. This role serves as a key strategic partner to the business unit, aligning holistic human capital practices with operational goals, driving a high-performance culture, fostering high employee engagement, and ensuring strict regulatory compliance.
The position reports to the General Manager
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Oversee end-to-end recruitment, selection, and structured induction programs to integrate top hospitality talent efficiently.
2.Performance & Talent Management
Drive performance management cycles, support employee development plans, and execute continuous learning and training initiatives.
3.Employee Relations & Compliance
Guideline management on corporate policies and Zimbabwean labour laws, managing workplace grievance and disciplinary procedures with complete fairness and discretion.
4.HR Operations & Analytics
Maintain precise HR database records, process monthly payroll inputs, manage employee benefits administration, and deliver regular HR metrics to senior leadership.
5.Culture & Wellness
Implement employee engagement programs, workplace safety initiatives, and health and wellness drives to foster a high-performance lodge culture.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or equivalent. Professional HR membership (IPMZ or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- 2–3 years of progressive HR generalist experience, ideally within hospitality, tourism, or the broader service sector.
- In-depth knowledge of local labour legislation, hands-on proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS), and advanced MS Office skills.
- High emotional intelligence, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational capability, and total confidentiality.
