The successful candidate will be based at Rainbow Towers Hotel and ICC Harare<\/p>\n<p><strong>The position reports to the F<\/strong><strong>unctions<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Manager. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Responsibilities Include: <\/strong> <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with clients to understand their event needs, including layout, food, beverages and audiovisual requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Make conference reservations and manage bookings.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned on conference details.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in creating and managing conference budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee all logistical aspects of events, such as room setup and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Provide on-the-day support to guests, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring the event flows as planned.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in promoting the hotel\u2019s conference spaces and services, working with the sales and marketing team to attract new clients.<\/li>\n<li>Gather feedback post-event to assess success and identify areas for improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all events comply with local regulations, safety protocols, and hotel policies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records of event details, contracts, and communications for future reference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Specifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The candidate should have the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holder of a Higher National Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience of OPERA system and Micros.<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years\u2019 relevant experience in a similar post.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable planning and customer care skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Functions\u00a0Coordinator x 2 Introduction Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of Functions Coordinator.
