{"id":39064,"date":"2026-09-10T07:18:35","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T07:18:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rtgafrica.com\/careers\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=39064"},"modified":"2026-09-17T00:03:23","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T00:03:23","slug":"general-manager-heritage-expeditions-africa","status":"closed","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/rtgafrica.com\/careers\/jobs\/general-manager-heritage-expeditions-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"General Manager -Heritage Expeditions Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rainbow Tourism Group Limited is seeking a dynamic, commercially driven and visionary leader to take overall responsibility for Heritage Expeditions Africa (HEXA) and drive its growth across local, regional and international tourism markets.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE ROLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership of HEXA, with primary accountability for business growth, revenue and profitability, product development, operational excellence, strategic partnerships and exceptional guest experiences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive revenue growth, profitability and achievement of key business targets.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute HEXA&#8217;s business, sales and marketing strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Grow the business across local, regional and international markets.<\/li>\n<li>Develop innovative tourism products, experiences and competitive packages.<\/li>\n<li>Build productive strategic partnerships and identify new business opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain strong financial, operational, asset and risk-management controls.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and develop a high-performing, commercially focused team.<\/li>\n<li>Champion innovation, service excellence and world-class guest experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain regular presence across HEXA destinations and operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PERSON SPECIFICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate should possess:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management or related field.<\/li>\n<li>MBA will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years&#8217;
