{"id":38225,"date":"2026-08-28T16:45:31","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T16:45:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rtgafrica.com\/careers\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=38225"},"modified":"2026-09-02T00:00:56","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T00:00:56","slug":"food-beverage-controller-x-1","status":"closed","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/rtgafrica.com\/careers\/jobs\/food-beverage-controller-x-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Food &amp; Beverage Controller x 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Nyanga<\/p>\n<p>Job Type: Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>FOOD AND BEVERAGE CONTROLLER X 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of Food and Beverage Controller and the successful candidate will be based at Montclair Resort and Conference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The position reports to the Assistant Accountant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cost Management \u2013 Conduct detailed Cost of Sales analysis and maintain standard recipe costing for all menu items.<\/li>\n<li>Menu Engineering \u2013 Partner with the Head Chef to analyse menu performance to optimize profitability.<\/li>\n<li>Inventory Control \u2013 Oversee the monthly stock-take process, ensuring the security of all storerooms and cellars while managing slow-moving stock.<\/li>\n<li>Procurement Oversight \u2013 Validate supplier pricing and approve purchase orders to ensure alignment with monthly budgets and quality specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Operational Auditing \u2013 Monitor POS systems for unauthorized voids or discounts and conduct periodic spot checks and yield tests.<\/li>\n<li>Financial Reporting \u2013 Prepare comprehensive monthly F&amp;B reports, variance analyses, stocks reports and forecasts for senior management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PERSON SPECIFICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management.<\/li>\n<li>2-3 years\u2019 experience in a Tourism and Hospitality Industry, busy city property or FMCG<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge OPERA, SAGE 300, Inventory Management System and Excel Proficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Superior analytical and investigative skills.<\/li>\n<li>Should be an assertive person of unquestionable integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills to effectively interface between departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Nyanga Job Type: Permanent FOOD AND BEVERAGE CONTROLLER X 1 Introduction Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of Food and Beverage Controller and the successful candidate will be based at Montclair Resort and Conference.
