The role will be instrumental in creating and preserving a visually stunning and environmentally sustainable outdoor environment that enhances the guest experience and contributes to the hotel&#8217;s reputation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting<\/strong><br \/>\nThe position reports to the RTG Group Estates Manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><br \/>\nTeam Supervision:<br \/>\n\u2022 Supervise a team of groundskeepers and horticultural staff.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and development<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain an engaged and disciplined team.<br \/>\nLandscaping Design &amp; Maintenance:<br \/>\n\u2022 Oversee the daily maintenance of gardens, lawns, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping elements.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate with the Estate Manager on seasonal planting and maintenance schedules.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure that all landscaping is maintained in accordance with industry standards and best practices.<br \/>\n\u2022 Come up with landscaping features that improve the general aesthetics of the property.<br \/>\nPest Control:<br \/>\n\u2022 Monitor for pests and diseases and implement effective control measures.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate with pest control companies as needed.<br \/>\nIrrigation Systems Management:<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure the proper functioning of water sprinkler systems around the property.<br \/>\n\u2022 Installation of desirable water features like fountains at the hotel both outside and inside<br \/>\nOutdoor Amenities Maintenance:<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain outdoor amenities such as balconies, walkways, and outdoor furniture.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate repairs and replacements as needed.<br \/>\nBudget Management:<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist the Estate Manager in developing and managing the landscaping budget.<br \/>\n\u2022 Monitor expenses<br \/>\nGuest Satisfaction:<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure that the landscaped areas contribute to a positive guest experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Person Specification &amp; Attributes<\/strong><br \/>\nRelevant Diploma in Horticultural and Landscaping studies<br \/>\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.<br \/>\nStrong knowledge of plant species, gardening techniques, and landscape design principles.<br \/>\nExperience supervising and managing teams.<br \/>\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nPhysical fitness to perform outdoor tasks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Landscaping Supervisor Introduction Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of Landscaping Supervisor and the successful candidate will be based at Rainbow Tower Hotel and ICC Harare.
